Sempena cuti sekolah dan perayaan tahu baru cina , slot santai (educational trip) ini ditujukan khas untuk teman pembaca yang berada jauh di mata, tetapi dekat di hati .

Kampung Kuala Kuantan di Selangor terkenal sebagai tempat percutian bertaraf dunia yang menarik di Malaysia. Keunikannya terserlah sebagai destinasi perlancongan  bagi melihat keindahan alam dan hidupan flora dan fauna iaitu habitat paya bakau dan kelip-kelip. Destinasi pilihan ini telah mendapat usaha sama dengan pihak Tenaga Nasional, untuk membangunkan kawasan paya bakau bagi memelihara dan memulihara habitat kelip-kelip (firefly) dengan aktiviti penanaman pokok bakau (berembang). 

Pokok berembang merupakan spesis pokok paya bakau unik berbanding spesis lain yang berperanan sebagai habitat hinggap bagi kelip-kelip. Kelip-kelip yang terdapat di habitat paya bakau, kampung kuantan ini merupakan tarikan pelancong untuk berkunjung ke sini memandangkan keunikannya untuk mengeluarkan cahaya dengan kadar kerlipan (3x / minit). Kadar kerlipan cahaya yang dipancarkan bergantung kepada jantina kelip-kelip iaitu kadar kerlipan akan lebih pantas bagi jantan berbanding kelip-kelip betina.

Anak pokok bakau spesis berembang sebelum ditanam di kawasan paya bakau .

Lazimnya, pokok bakau penting dalam ekosistem sebagai habitat pembiakan ikan, kelip-kelip dan bertindak sebagai agen semulajadi penghadang hakisan pantai oleh arus ombak yang dibantu oleh akar ceracak yang naik menegak.

 

Projek penanaman pokok berembang dilakukan secara berperingkat-peringkat oleh pihak yang bertanggungjawab bagi tujuan memulihara habitat kelip-kelip, di sepanjang tebing sungai kawasan paya bakau kampung kuantan. Kelip-kelip akan banyak didapati ketika musim air pasang, ketika cuaca amat gelap dan sunyi (jauh daripada bunyi bising). Justeru, kepada pelancong luar dan dalam negara, anda disarankan agar tidak mengambil gambar sewaktu proses pemerhatian dilakukan, memandangkan cahaya (flash ) kamera yang dipantulkan akan menganggu sifat semulajadi kelip-kelip untuk memancarkan cahaya di waktu malam. Pelancong akan dibawa menyelusuri tebing-tebing paya untuk menikmati keindahan kerlipan cahaya kelip-kelip dengan menaiki sampan.

Glow in the dark~

In general, firefly will glow in the dark because it produces chemical (luciferin) which will react with oxygen and emits the soft light . Firefly also called as lighting bugs. On the other hands, the intermittent signals is produce to attract the attention for possible future mates which is essential for survival in fireflies' population.

 Pelbagai kajian penyelidikan yang telah dijalankan untuk memastikan kelestarian habitat paya bakau, di Kampung Kuantan, Selangor terpelihara.

Kemudahan dewan seminar turut disediakan untuk tujuan rasmi bagi sesi soal jawab

(rasanya yang agak kelat dan sedikit berlemak ; boleh dimakan mentah dengan kuah rojak ataupun dimasak)

Kesimpulannya, proses pemuliharaan dan pemeliharaan alam sekitar perlu penglibatan semua pihak bagi memastikan ekosistem berada dalam keadaan terkawal dan tidak terancam untuk generasi akan datang.

Barley ~(^_^)*

Nothing much to say, just lil bit about barley...

and of course its about food, not bob marley *(^_^)V (maybe in next entry - his songs)...

Perfect dessert for family and good for kids as well..

Barley 

*was among the earliest cultivated grains in middle east possibly originated from Egypt, Etihopia, (Middle East) then across the other countries (Korean, china etc).

Barley can be a perfect dessert as porridge or soup or barley bread. For industrial purposes, people used to make beer from barley.

Importance of barley;

In general;

Barley's grain can reduce the cholesterol level and promote intestinal protection. Have potential effect in lowering the diabetic effects.

How to prepare (soup);

1) Before cooking barley, rinse it thoroughly under running water (remove any debris)/

2) After rinsing , add almost one part of barley to half parts of  boiling water. 

3) After the liquid has returned to a boil, turn down the heat, cover & simmer.(35-45mins)

4) Add in coconut milk, and screwpine leaves, and  sugar to sweeten the broth, (10 mins).  and ready to be served. 

(In Malay version); 

Resipi membuat bubur barli.

1) Bersihkan biji barli dengan air. Kemudian, sejatkan  dan masukkan ke dalam periuk.

2) Rebuskan barli dengan cara (1 bahagian barli= 3 bahagian air) sehingga mendidih (biji barli masak atau kembang).

3) Kemudian, perlahankan api, masukkan santan (terpulang ikut kepekatan masing2) dan, daun pandan yang telah disimpulkan. Tambahkan gula (ikut citarasa masing2) dan secubit garam sebagai penambah perisa. 

4) Masakkan lebih kurang 10 min lagi sambil (gaul dengan sebati) , jgn sampai santan mendidih dan sedia untuk dihidangkan.

Dear all,

How's your life today? hopefully everything in good condition,*(^_^)*

I would like to share with you a simple recipe to make Rich Chocolate Glaze;

so called sweet milk chocolate (perfect complement for any cake).

Prep time-5minutes

Cook about-2 minutes 

(1/2 cups)

Basic ingredients;

1) 3 ounces milk chocolate, broken into pieces

2) 3 tablespoons butter or margarine

3) 1 tablespoon light corn syrup

4) 1 tablespoon milk

Method;

1) In 1 -quart measuring cup, heat chocolate with remaing ingredients untill smooth , 1 1/2 to 2 mins, stirring twice during cooking.

2) Then,pour glaze immediately over top of cooled cake, allowing it to run down sides. Let cake stand at least 30 minutes to allow glaze to set before serving.

 Im sorry for not updating any entries lately after having holiday and got some works to do etc...

Anyway, lots of love and thanks so much for those who still eager to follow my blog..

but i only can give the best that i can to you, especially to my dear beloved friends.

So lets me begin with simple and meaningful poetic phrases by famous person , 

good motivational advises to us, which i always remind myself either;
